The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of God, and His word (command) which He conveyed unto Mary

من القرءان

??"…The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of God, and His word (command) which He conveyed unto Mary..." (Quran 4:171)

?? The word ‘MESSENGER’ according to Oxford dictionary is; n. a person who carries a message.

من الإنجيل

Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who #SENT me.” (John 7:16)

???? “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that #SENT me, and to finish his work.” (John 4:34)

????  “Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he #SENT me” (john 8:42)

????. “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath #SENT me.” (John 5:30)

????“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which #SENT me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.” ( John 12:49)

??From the above references if Jesus is God he wouldn’t have been sent by another God but he would just come by himself. But these prove him he was just a messenger like any other messenger that God sent before him, e g, Moses, Jacob, Abraham, etc.

??There is no language where God and prophet are synonymous term. God cannot be prophet. We read in the same Bible Jesus was referred to as a prophet:

????. “And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a #prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:” (Luke 24:19)

???? “And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great #prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people” (Luke 7:16)

???? “But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a #prophet.”  (Math 21:46)

????  “But Jesus said unto them, A #prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house” (Mark 6:4)

? So Jesus was no more than a messenger of God.

Both The Bible And The Quran Said Jesus Is A Prophet Of God

??Matthew 21:11
"And the crowds were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee."

??Luke 7:16
"Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, "God has visited His people!"

??John 4:19
"The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.

??Matthew 21:46
" When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet.

??John 6:14
" Therefore when the people saw the sign which he had performed, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world."

??John 7:40
"Some of the people therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, "This certainly is the Prophet."

??John 9:17
"So they said to the blind man again, "What do you say about him, since he opened your eyes?" And he said, "He is a prophet."

??Luke 24:19
"And he said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people."

??Quran 3:49
" And [make him, Jesus] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers."

Jesus  said, "Surely, Allah is my Lord and your Lord"

(Qur'an 3:51) Surely, Allah is my Lord and your Lord; so serve Him alone. This is the straight way.'

As with other Prophets, the fundamental points of Jesus' mission were the following:

(1) Man should acknowledge- the exclusive sovereignty of God which demands absolute service and obedience to Him, and Him alone. This principle serves as the basis for the entire structure of human morality and social behaviour.

(2) Man should obey the Prophets since they are the representatives of the true Sovereign.

(3) The Law which should regulate man's conduct by elaborating what is right and what is wrong should be none other than the Law of God. The laws devised by others should be abrogated. There is, thus, no difference between the missions of Jesus, Moses and Muhammad (peace be on them all). Those who think that the missions of the Prophets differ from one another and who believe that their objectives vary have fallen into serious error.

#بقايا_الرسالة_فى_الإنجيل

It is unfortunate that the Gospels in their present form do not offer as clear a picture of the mission of Jesus as that presented by the Qur'an. Nevertheless, we find scattered throughout the Gospels all the three fundamentals mentioned above. The notion that man ought to submit himself totally to God is embodied in the following statement:

You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve' (Matthew 4: 10).
