- When we make a sin , we repent to God and ask him for forgiveness ??
God says in Quran :
“Those who remember God (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying), "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted are You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.” (Quran 3:191)
Allah says in Quran : ??
" Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."(39:53)
Allah is the Most Merciful, Most Compassionate, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. His Mercy encompasses all things.
Allah says : ??
“… and My Mercy embraces all things.” [7:156]
Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him said : ??
“Allah has one hundred parts of mercy, of which He sent down one between the jinn, mankind, the animals and the insects, by means of which they are compassionate and merciful to one another, and by means of which wild animals are kind to their offspring. And Allah has kept back ninety-nine parts of mercy with which to be merciful to His slaves of the Day of Resurrection.”
(Muslim, al-Tawbah, 6908)
It was narrated that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: ??
“Some prisoners were brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and there was a woman among the prisoners who was searching (for her child). When she found her child she embraced him and put him to her breast. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to us, ‘Do you think that this woman would throw her child in the fire?’ We said, ‘No, by Allah, not if she is able not to.’ The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Allah is more merciful to His slaves than this woman is to her child.’”

And your Lord shall not be unjust to anyone
‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah (?) said:
“A man from my nation will be called before all of creation on the Day of Resurrection, and ninety-nine scrolls will be spread out for him, each one extending as far as the eye can see. Then Allah will say: “Do you deny anything of this?” He will say: “No, O Lord.” He will say: “Have My recording scribes been unfair to you?” Then He will say: “Apart from that, do you have any good deeds?” The man will be terrified and will say: “No.” (Allah) will say:
“Indeed, you have good deeds with Us, and you will not be treated unjustly this Day.”
Then a card will be brought out on which is written Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah wa anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluhu (I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).
He will say: “O Lord, what is this card compared with these scrolls?”
He will say: “You will not be treated unjustly.”
Then the scrolls will be placed in one side of the Balance and the card in the other.
The scrolls went far high up (i.e., be light) and the card went down (i.e., will weigh heavily).”

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Prophet Muhammed (?) said:
"There was a man from among a nation before you who killed ninety-nine people and then made an inquiry about the most learned person on the earth.
He was directed to a monk.
He came to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine people and asked him if there was any chance for his repentance to be accepted.
He replied in the negative and the man killed him also completing one hundred.
He then asked about the most learned man in the earth.
He was directed to a scholar.
He told him that he had killed one hundred people and asked him if there was any chance for his repentance to be accepted.
He replied in the affirmative and asked, 'Who stands between you and repentance? Go to such and such land; there (you will find) people devoted to prayer and worship of Allah, join them in worship, and do not come back to your land because it is an evil place.'
So he went away and hardly had he covered half the distance when death overtook him; and there was a dispute between the angels of mercy and the angels of torment.
The angels of mercy pleaded, 'This man has come with a repenting heart to Allah,' and the angels of punishment argued, 'He never did a virtuous deed in his life.'
Then there appeared another angel in the form of a human being and the contending angels agreed to make him arbiter between them.
He said, 'Measure the distance between the two lands. He will be considered belonging to the land to which he is nearer.'
They measured and found him closer to the land (land of piety) where he intended to go, and so the angels of mercy collected his soul".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
In another version: "He was found to be nearer to the locality of the pious by a cubit and was thus included among them". Another version says: "Allah commanded (the land which he wanted to leave) to move away and commanded the other land (his destination) to draw nearer and then He said: "Now measure the distance between them.' It was found that he was nearer to his goal by a hand's span and was thus forgiven". It is also narrated that he drew closer by a slight movement on his chest.
