Paul and the Invention of Christianity : How a Pharisee Jew Transformed the Religion of Jesus ?

✨ Could the message of Christ truly be anything other than submission to God and obedience to His commands ?

( Part 7 of 8 )

✅ The True Religion of Christ : Islam

The religion of Christ was the same as that of Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all) : submission to God, obedience to His commands, worship, devotion, and righteous deeds.

" Islam is not merely a name; it is the act of surrendering one’s heart and mind to God, worshipping Him with love, following Him in obedience, and living a life of goodness and justice as intended by the Creator. "

💡 The True Meaning :

The religion of Christ is submission to God alone through obedience and worship, following His commands, and performing righteous deeds—just as all the prophets before him taught. This is the original meaning of the word " Islam. "

✦ Jesus never once called himself a " Christian ," nor did he claim to have come to establish a religion called " Christianity ."

✦ In fact, there is not a single verse in the Gospels where Jesus says this, nor did he command his disciples to follow a new religion.

✦ The term " Christian " did not appear until many years after Jesus' earthly mission ended, as mentioned in Acts (11 : 26) around the year 43, when people in Antioch used it to refer to Jesus' followers. It was not a term of respect but rather one of mockery and disdain.

✦ The disciples did not call themselves " Christians ."

✦ This raises a logical question : If Jesus did not establish Christianity, then who did ?

✨ Here begins the journey to uncover the truth...

■ What then is religion if not obedience to God ?

If you abolish worship, abolish obedience, abolish prostration, and reduce faith to a mere idea in the heart without action, what remains of religion ?

What is the difference between one who believes and one who does not ?

How can a person be a servant of God if they do not prostrate to Him, obey Him, follow His commandments, or submit to Him in their life ?

God’s religion has not changed : it is the religion of submission to Him, obedience, prostration, and monotheism.

What Paul taught was not a religion revealed by God but a radical deviation from the path of the prophets. Instead of calling people to worship God and follow His commandments, he called them to believe in what he invented, as if the path to Paradise was drawn by his pen rather than by divine revelation.

Paul transformed God’s religion into a philosophical system based on " faith in redemption," replacing obedience to God with submission to humans, and replacing prostration to the Creator with bowing before crosses and statues.

■ Paul and the Overthrow of God’s Religion :

How did the message of submission to God turn into the illusion of free salvation ?

The religion brought by all the prophets, from Adam to Noah, from Abraham to Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, was one in essence: submission to God.

Submission in the fullest sense of the word :

Obedience to God, submission to His command, monotheism with no partners, pure worship, bowing and prostration, and compliance with His orders.

🛑 But the shocking surprise is that a man who appeared years after Jesus—who was not one of his disciples and never met him in his life—dared not only to change his teachings but to abolish God’s law itself… and this man was Paul.

🛑 Paul and the Curse of the Law : When Man Dared to Call God’s Revelation a Curse

In all divine messages, God’s law was the core of the prophets’ call.

Moses (peace be upon him) came with nothing but the law, and Jesus (peace be upon him) was sent only to bring people back to the worship of God and to fulfill the law, not to abolish it.

For the law is God’s legislation to regulate human life, distinguishing between truth and falsehood, obedience and disobedience, light and darkness.

Paul Curses Those Who Adhere to God’s Law!

In Paul’s letter to the Galatians ( 3 : 10 ),

he clearly states :

" All who rely on the works of the Law are under a curse, for it is written : ‘ Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law .’"

The reference Paul quotes is taken from Deuteronomy ( 27 : 26 ):

" Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this Law by carrying them out." And all the people shall say, ‘Amen .’"

This verse speaks about the necessity of adhering to the Law, stating that those who violate it deserve a curse—because they disobeyed God’s commands.

In other words, the curse here is not on those who follow the Law, but on those who do not follow it!

Yet, Paul says the exact opposite :

He claims that those who adhere to the Law are cursed, even though the original verse states that those who do not adhere to it are the ones cursed.

Look at this glaring contradiction : Paul did not encourage people to obey God’s Law ; instead, he said that those who follow the Law are cursed! How can it make sense that God would curse those who obey His commands?

This is unbelievable and goes against all logic and reason.

From a rational perspective, it is inconceivable that obeying God could be considered a sin, while disobedience is justified. Viewing divine Law as a " curse " and justifying its violators contradicts the principles of justice and common sense, representing a deviation from the essence of the divine message.

Christ Himself Did Not Abolish the Law

As stated in the Gospel of Matthew

i(5 : 17 - 19 ) :

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore, anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

So how can Paul come and say the exact opposite of what Christ said ?

How can he abolish the Law, curse those who adhere to it , and still be considered an apostle of Christ ?

What kind of message is this ? What logic accepts such a complete reversal ?

■ All the prophets called to the law of God and to act upon it.

From Noah to Abraham to Moses to Jesus, they all called for the oneness of God and obedience to His commands, and no prophet in history ever preached the "abolition of divine law " or " free salvation without deeds ."

✦ Man is responsible for his choices, and God has made obedience a path to blessing and sin a cause of punishment. This is divine justice.

But Paul demolished this entire balance and said : There is no need for obedience or deeds; faith alone is enough.

And here lies the disaster :

Paul abolished the law of God, which is in reality a mercy from God that protects man from being lost, guards him from falling into sin, and regulates his life with purity and goodness.

So how can man be left to his desires and then told : " You will be saved simply because you believe "?

This is not the religion of the prophets... but rather a rebellion against God’s justice and guidance.

❖ What is the purpose of divine law ?

Divine law is the foundation of religion.

It teaches us how to obey God, what pleases Him, and what angers Him.

Without divine law, there is no concept of permissible or forbidden, no accountability or recompense, and no clear path to God.

✦ If divine law is abolished :

* You will not know how to draw near to God.

* You will not distinguish between right and wrong.

* Religion becomes merely an internal feeling without action or commitment.

⚠️ Here lies the real danger of Paul : He led people away from the path to God by claiming that obedience does not matter, repentance is unnecessary, and good deeds hold no value—all you have to do is believe his words : that Christ died for your sins, and that’s it!

Paul explicitly said :

" Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures "

( 1 Corinthians 15 : 3 ).

Paul alone said : " We are not under the law ."

✦ And with this, Paul destroyed the path to God. He did not bring people closer to God but made them feel they had no need to obey Him.

Paul invented a salvation without effort, without repentance, without responsibility, and said :

"Just believe... and you will be saved."

⚠️ Did Christ say that he was crucified to forgive people's sins ? Never.

Christ never said :

" Believe in my crucifixion so that you may be saved ."

He never said : " I will be killed in your place."

None of the four Gospel writers recorded that Christ said this.

Instead, Christ called people to repentance, turning back to God, doing good deeds, and adhering to the law.

🛑 So how did Paul come and invent a new religion, saying : " Just believe that Christ died for you, and you will enter Paradise "?!

This was never said by Christ, nor was it known by any of the prophets before him.

✦ This is the real danger : replacing the path of repentance and obedience with a strange doctrine that has no basis, making people think that Paradise can be attained without repentance, obedience, or law.

All the prophets came calling people to worship God, obey Him, and follow His law.

🛑 But Paul came with an idea that cuts this path at its roots :

✦ He abolished the law—" We are not bound by God's commands ."

❖ What relationship remains between a servant and his Lord if he is not required to obey, is not held accountable for his actions, and is granted salvation for free, no matter what he does ?!

This is not the way of the prophets, but the way of disguised misguidance.

A path that distances you from God,

A deadly illusion that severs the connection between the servant and his Lord, while he thinks he is a believer !

🚫 Whoever abandons the law abandons the path God has set for His servants and takes another path that leads only to destruction.

❖ Is man born impure and unable to please God ?

These are not the words of Christ, nor the teachings of Moses, nor the revelation of any of God’s prophets.

Rather, this strange doctrine came from Paul alone.

✦ It was Paul who said :

" There is no one righteous, not even one... All have turned away, they have together become worthless." ( Romans 3 : 10 )

* " I know that good itself does not dwell in me." (وRomans 7 : 18 )

* " We were by nature deserving of wrath." ( Ephesians 2 : 3 )

From here emerged the idea that man is corrupt from birth and has no hope of salvation except by believing in the crucifixion of Jesus.

❖ Christ never taught that man is born in sin, that his blood is tainted from birth, or that his salvation depends on someone being crucified in his place.

Instead, he called for repentance, good deeds, and obeying God from the heart.

✦ These doctrines, alien to the teachings of the prophets and the logic of divine justice, are inventions of Paul, not revelations from God.

⚠️ But reflect carefully :

Did Christ say this ?

Did he call for belief in his crucifixion ?

Did he describe man as evil, unable to approach God ?

The answer : Absolutely not.

This is why Islam—as foretold by all the prophets—came to affirm the law and restore people’s awareness that the path to God is not built on wishful thinking, but on faith in God, worshiping Him, and following His commandments.

Allah says :

"110) Say, ―I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God.  So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord – let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone."

[ Quran 18 : 110 ]
