Paul and the Invention of Christianity : How a Pharisee Jew Transformed the Religion of Jesus ?

✨ The Holy Bible - The Old Testament – Part 3 of 8

✨📜 What does " The Holy Bible " mean ?

🌿 The " Holy Bible " is presumed to be God’s covenant and commandments for humanity.

A pure divine revelation, untouched by human hands—free from distortion or alteration—revealed by God to His prophets to serve as a light guiding hearts to His knowledge and worship, with sincerity and complete adherence to His teachings as He intended for us.

In other words, anyone who believed in the One God and followed His commands was, in truth, submitted to God (a Muslim in the original sense), regardless of their era or people.

In this book, we should find the Creator’s commandments, a message of mercy, and a call to righteousness, justice, and piety.

But the fundamental question remains :

📖 Has this " Holy Bible " remained as God revealed it ? Or has it been touched by the hands of distortion and alteration ?

For this reason, we will read the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran with the eye of a researcher—with an open mind and a living conscience—to discover :

📌 Which book has preserved God’s covenant and commandments as they were revealed?

📌 And which one remains a guiding light leading hearts to the Lord of the Worlds ?

✨ Here begins the journey in search of the truth...

✨ Did Moses really write the Torah ?

There is not a single manuscript evidence indicating that Moses wrote the Torah with his own hand. In fact, the Torah itself contradicts this claim, as it records his death and states:

" So Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there... Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses... to this very day ."

The text is written in the third person, speaking of Moses as a figure from the past, not as the author. Moreover, the phrase " to this very day " reveals that the writer was documenting events long after Moses' death—perhaps even centuries later.

✅ This alone is enough to understand that the Torah was not written during Moses’ time but was compiled in stages long after his death, by anonymous scribes who did not witness the events they recorded.

🧾 The Original Torah Is Completely Lost

A fact many people are unaware of :

✅ The Torah allegedly written by Moses’ own hand has never been found and is completely lost to history.

What we have today are late copies, written centuries after Moses, with no connection to any eyewitness.

❓ So how can we claim that the Torah is a divinely preserved book when it is a late product written centuries after Moses ?

📜 The Depiction of God in the Old Testament: Reverence or Insult ?

Mark Twain once said about the

 " Holy Bible ":

" The Old Testament contains poetry ; some tales ; some bloody history ; a wealth of obscenity ; and over a thousand lies ."

Is this the description of divine revelation ? Let’s look at some examples :

❗ Texts that describe God with attributes unbefitting His majesty :

1️⃣ God is like a moth and woodworm

Hosea 5 : 12 – "So I will be to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness."

God compares Himself to insects that eat away at clothes and worms that bore through wood!

2️⃣ God attacks like a lion and a raging bear

Hosea 13:7-8 – "So I will be to them like a lion... like a bear robbed of her cubs, and I will tear open the covering of their heart."

3️⃣ God regrets evil

Exodus 32 : 14 – " So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people."

Does the All-Knowing, Perfect God regret like a sinful human ?

4️⃣ God wrestles and is defeated

Genesis 32 : 24 - 28 – "A Man wrestled with him... and Jacob prevailed over God."

Jacob wrestles " God " and defeats Him ?!

5️⃣ God wakes up like a drunken sleeper

Psalm 78 : 65 – " Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, like a warrior shouting from the effects of wine."

❗ How can these attributes be ascribed to the Perfect, Holy God ? Is this the divine revelation meant to introduce us to our Creator ?

✨ A sincere moment of reflection

❓ Do you believe God possesses absolute perfection ?

If your answer is yes, then can a book that ascribes ignorance, regret, and weakness to Him truly be His word ?

📜 Grave accusations against God’s prophets in the Old Testament :

1️⃣ Lot commits incest with his daughters

Genesis 19 : 33 -36 – They get him drunk, and both lie with him, becoming pregnant by their own father!

2️⃣ David commits adultery and murder to cover his crime

2 Samuel 11 – He sleeps with Uriah’s wife, then orders his death in battle.

3️⃣ Noah gets drunk and exposes himself

Genesis 9 : 21 – " He drank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself in his tent ."

4️⃣ " Now King David was old, advanced in years; and they put covers on him, but he could not get warm. Therefore his servants said to him, 'Let a young woman be sought for my lord the king... and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may be warm.'"

(1 Kings 1 : 1 - 2 )

5️⃣ " When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea : 'Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry, for the land has committed great harlotry .'"

( Hosea 1 : 2 )

6️⃣ " And the Lord said, 'Just as My servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years as a sign and a wonder...'"

( Isaiah 20 : 3 )

❗ Are these the lives of the prophets chosen by God to guide humanity ? How can this be called "the word of God " when it insults those whom God has sanctified ?

❓ Do you believe in the purity and moral excellence of God’s prophets ?

If you believe they are pure and chosen, how can you accept a book that attributes adultery, drunkenness, and deceit to them ?

✨ If you believe that God is perfect and free from all deficiency, and that His prophets are pure from all immorality, then ask yourself honestly: Are these texts truly divine revelation?

📜 Is it conceivable that the All-Knowing, Holy God would reveal scriptures overflowing with descriptions of adulterous women and shameful scenes of lewdness?

In the Book of Ezekiel, we find shocking descriptions containing phrases unbefitting the sanctity of God’s word:

"And say, ‘ Thus says the Lord God... Your breasts were formed, your hair grew, but you were naked and bare.’"

( Ezekiel 16 : 3 )

The Lord said : " Your wife shall become a prostitute in the city."

( Amos 7 : 16 )

"Because of the wanton lust of a prostitute, alluring, the mistress of sorceries... Behold, I am against you, declares the Lord of hosts, and will lift up your skirts over your face; and I will make nations look at your nakedness."

( Nahum 3 : 4 )

"But you trusted in your beauty and played the whore... and lavished your whorings on any passerby."

( Ezekiel 16 : 15 - 16 )

"You played the whore with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; and still you were not satisfied."

" Then you increased your whoring with the traders of Babylonia, yet even with this you were not satisfied."

" When you did all these things, you behaved like a brazen prostitute! "

" You were not like a prostitute, because you scorned payment ."

" O adulterous wife, who receives strangers instead of her husband !"

" Every prostitute receives a fee, but you give gifts to all your lovers."

( Ezekiel 16 : 28 - 33 )

" You did not give up the immorality you began in Egypt, when you lay with men in your youth, when they caressed your virgin breasts and involved you in their lewd practices ."

" Therefore I delivered you into the hands of your lovers, the Assyrians, for whom you lusted ."

( Ezekiel 23 : 8 - 9 )

7. Your stature is like a palm tree, your breasts like clusters of fruit.

8. I said, " I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit." May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, the fragrance of your breath like apples,

9. and your mouth like the finest wine...

( Song of Solomon 7 : 7 - 9 )

" Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says : I will stir up your lovers against you, those you turned from in disgust, and I will bring them against you from every side."

" They will strip you of your clothes and take your fine jewelry. "

( Ezekiel 23 : 22 - 27 )

" There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses ."

( Ezekiel 23 : 20 )

Is this sacred scripture ?!

❗ Is it appropriate for such words to be read in front of children, or for them to pray with such texts ?

How can we accept narrating to them passages where God describes adultery, portraying His people as shameless adulterers, and depicting lewd acts in shocking terms ?

📖 Where is the mercy and purity that children should learn from a book claimed to be the divine word of God ?

❓ An invitation to reflection and contemplation

Have you ever compared the attributes of God as depicted in the Old Testament with those presented in the Quran ?

📖 If you haven’t had this opportunity yet, we urge you today to take the time for thoughtful consideration. Read the Quran with the mind of an objective seeker, not with biased eyes, to truly recognize the difference between the two portrayals.

🌟 You will find a God who is exalted above all imperfection—merciful, just, and perfect in attributes, unlike His creation, free from weakness, intoxication, or ignorance.

You will also come to know of pure and truthful prophets, guides rightly guided, far removed from the slavery of desires or acts of wrongdoing.

📌 Read the Quran... and discover the true revelation for yourself.

📌 Read to know God, the Almighty, as He truly is.
