It actually happened
The Orthodox priest Gold David sent a message to the bishop in which he said: I bear witness that there is no god but God... and that the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, is the Messenger of God and the Seal of His Messengers, and this is the final message.
He declared his conversion to Islam and said
I could not ignore the Qur’an
I could not ignore the fact that God does not have three gods
God has no son
I feel tremendous relief
This satisfaction with the largest religion in the world, “Islam.”
The religion that God handed over to Moses, David, and Jesus, peace be upon them
And to all the messengers
So there is this identification that we as Christians have lost
Now I know Christ from the perspective of the right relationship with God Almighty.
There is a great surah in the Qur’an that honors “Mrs. Mary” and Muslims love Christ
Converting to Islam does not mean that you are abandoning Jesus or Mary
Rather, it puts them in a right relationship with God, and that is the difference
When we pronounce the Shahada, our sins and transgressions are erased
And we have an opportunity to have a new relationship with God.
The priest converted to Islam and took the name "Abdul Rahman" for himself.
The reason for his conversion to Islam was that he sat one time in the courtyard of a mosque, and the imam greeted him and gave him a copy of the Holy Qur’an. When he returned to his home, and before reading the Qur’an, he prostrated to God, and asked God to show him the absolute truth, and he turned to God in supplication, saying: My Lord, show me whether Islam is true or false. Is Christianity true or not?
He says:
I prostrated and prayed..
Then I sat and read the Qur’an
I realized intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually that this is “actually” the word of God.
I read the Qur’an with completely different eyes, and I just knew that this was the absolute truth, and that I could no longer ignore it, and when I came back I could not continue as I had before I read the Qur’an.
Our brother Abdul Rahman
He is currently planning to visit Mecca and Medina, perform Umrah, and learn the Arabic language.
“We ask God to strengthen him, make his affairs easier for him, and increase his knowledge and benefit him.”
