Why The Glorious Qur’an was sent to the whole of Mankind. Yet, it was revealed to the people of Arabia

The Glorious Qur’an was sent to the whole of Mankind. Yet, it was revealed to the people of Arabia, so it had to be revealed in the language of the Arabs. Similarly, even previous Scriptures like Torah, Injeel, Zaboor, were revealed in Hebrew, the language of the people of that land.

Allah says in the Glorious Qur'an:

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ فَيُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ(4)
(Interpretation of the meaning 👇)

“And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people...” [Qur'an 14:4]

🍃Since The Qur'an was revealed to the last and final messenger Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), it had to be revealed in the language familiar to him, his mother tongue; the Arabic language.

🍃Arabic language is an ancient language, but it is still a living language; there are more than 150 million people today who speak Arabic.

Ancient languages (e.g. Sanskrit, ancient Hebrew, Aramaic), the languages of other Scriptures, all of these languages are dead languages. Only few people know these languages. If someone wants to change something in the Scriptures, he can do it. Whereas it is impossible to make any changes in the Qur'an, as more than 150 million people in the world today speak its language, the Arabic language.

🍃Arabic language is a very rich and very nuance language; in a short way it can convey plenty of messages.

🍃Writing in Arabic takes less space, less time, less energy as compared to other languages.

🍃The fact that The Glorious Qur'an was revealed in Arabic does not mean it was not sent to the whole of mankind. If you want to understand the Qur’an, you can either learn Arabic language or you can read the translation in your own language.
