In Ramadan

In Ramadan
1. ⏩➡️Fasting is obligatory during daylight

From dawn to sunset)

(2:183) Believers, fasting has been made mandatory for you as it was made mandatory for the people before you, so that you may have fear of God

*Fasting means abstaining from things which break the fast, such as food, drink and intercourse, from the break of true dawn (time of calling to Fajr) until sunset (time of calling to Maghreb), with the intention of fasting. *

2. ⏩➡️ Great reward for the fasters

[Hadeeth]

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The reward of every (good) deed of a person is multiplied from ten to seven hundred times. Allah (SWT) says: 'The reward of observing Saum is different from the reward of other good deeds; Saum is for Me, and I Alone will give its reward. The person observing Saum abstains from food and drink only for My sake.'

3.  ⏩➡️ Break your fast immediately after sunset

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "People will continue to adhere to good as long as they hasten to break the Saum (fasting)."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

4. ⏩➡️ If one forgets and eats a mouthful or a sip then recalls He is fast He has to continue fasting because Allah wanted it to happen out of mercy

5. ⏩➡️ Remember there is a door of Paradise called Rayyan only fasters will enter from it

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1895

6. ⏩➡️ Don't indulge in any disputes no matter how👇

Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him says

"When anyone of you is observing fast, he should neither indulge in obscene language nor should he raise his voice; and if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him, he should say: 'I am fasting.'

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

7. ⏩➡️ The bad smelling out of the faster' mouth is for Allah better than outstanding perfumes

Prophet says:

"Surely, the breath of one observing Saum is better smelling to Allah than the fragrance of musk."

Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

8. ⏩➡️ Suhur (meal before dawn) is blessed but not obligatory and should be postponed right before dawn; right before Adan

[Hadeeth]

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Take Suhur as there is a blessing in it."

Sahih al-Bukhari 1922

[Hadeeth]

"I used to take my Suhur meals with my family and then hurry up for presenting myself for the (Fajr) prayer with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)."

Our mission is to provide FREE, high quality, bite-sized, Islamic knowledge for all people.

Muslims on welcoming Ramadan are of different kinds:

1- Those who welcome it with laziness, idleness, sleeping and mindlessness about acts of worship.

2- Others, worst-still, welcome it by watching television and satellite stations and become an addict of these vices in the month Ramadhan!

3-On the other side are those who welcome it with sleeplessness and often goes back and forth to
market and tourist centres for visitations and relaxation.

4-There are also those that welcome the month by wastefully and extravagantly spending on food items and drinks in procession of this month!.

5- However the guided ones for whom Allah wishes good , they usually welcome the month of Ramadhan with happiness, cheerfulness and delight. This is because, they consider the month of Ramadhan as an uncommon opportunity to forgiveness, and repentance from sins, since it is
a month full of mercy and freedom from hell.

The prophet used to inform his companions about the advent of the month of Ramadhan saying thus:
“Ramadhan has come to you, a blessed month in which fasting is prescribed. The doors of the heaven are opened and the gates of hell are closed, the most potent of the devils are overpowered and won over. By Allah, in it is a night better than a thousand night. Anyone who is denied of its good is debased and rejected”.

How to welcome Ramadan in 6
Steps(part 1 of 2)

The guided group will always aim to welcome the month of Ramadan in the following manners:

1-
Repentance and Submission to Allah:

Obviously, repentance is mandatory every hour and seconds upon the Muslims; it is however more obligatory in the month of Ramadan.

 When
shall he who refuse to repent nor submit to Allah in Ramadan does it better?

Allah Says: “And repent unto Allah O you the believers! in order that you are successful.” An- Nuur (24) vs 34”. He also Says: “Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves (by sinning), do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful."

Allah forgives sins, spreads His Hands in the night so that the offenders in the day could repent. He also spreads His Hands in the day so that offenders in the night could repent. He is often happy by the repentance of the wrong doers.

Meanwhile my lovely brother, the repentance is an easy, simple and uncomplicated condition. It is none other than :- abstinence, regret and apology, and a sincere determination:

1- a self restraint and abstinence from sinful acts.
2- sincere apology and regret of one’s sins.
3- an absolute decision not to return to the sins in the future.

2-
Making all righteous acts only for Allah sake (Sincerity to Allah)

I advice you O my dear and bosom friend that if you are not sincere to Allah in all your actions, please do not overburden or preoccupy yourself by any acts of worship.

This is because, no deed will be accepted except when done for Allah alone. Allah Says: “ ... So, whosoever seeks to meet his Lord (while He is pleased with him), he should do righteous deeds and should not associate any partner in worship with Him.” Al-Kahf Vs 110”. Also, the prophet(ﷺ ) reported in Hadeeth Qudsi that Allah Says “I am self subsistent and free from partners, lest people associate partners with Me. Anyone who does an act in which he associate partners with me, I will leave him and his shrik (partners and associates).Muslim”

Fasting, on the other hand, is one of the major acts of worship that trains Muslims on sincerity to Allah.

This is because, no one knows about him who fasts (especially outside the month of Ramadhan) except Allah. More so, one could pretend to fast in Ramadhan when actually he does not. However, the fasting Muslim jettison his breakfasts and all other things that may vitiate his fast only for Allah sake, seeking His Face and Mercy.

For this set of people, Allah has reserved special reward and has made their devotions (acceptable) to Himself. Allah is great and to such people will be a great reward! The prophet(ﷺ ) reported Allah thus: “All the deeds of the children of Adam are for him; a righteous deedattracts rewards in 10 manifolds up to 700- except fasting. However, fasting is for Me, and I am the only One that will reward it accordingly. Al- Bukhaari and Muslim”.
3-
Doing acts in compliance with the way of the Prophet(ﷺ )
Righteous acts will not be accepted except on the two conditions of sincerity to Allah and compliance with the manner of the prophet .

Indeed, the prophet  (ﷺ )had explained everything about fasting.
It is however mandatory to know these things and act accordingly in compliance with the authentic narrations from the prophet , and to jettison any opposite of that.
