NEW MUSLIM COURSE LESSON 1

Congratulations on embracing this great religion of Islam choosing true guidance and stepping out Of the darkness Of ignorance into the light of faith

Congratulations on your boldness and objectivity in your search for the truth before taking the most important decision in your life by embracing this great religion

The very moment a person embraces Islam is doubtless the greatest moment in his life for it signifies his real birth. 🌱

When someone converts to Islam, *God forgives all of his previous sins and evil deeds* . A man called Amr came to the Prophet Muhammad and said, “Give me your right hand so that I may give you my pledge of loyalty.” The Prophet stretched out his right hand. Amr withdrew his hand. The Prophet said: {What has happened to you, O Amr?} He replied, “I intend to lay down a condition.” The Prophet asked: {What condition do you intend to put forward?} Amr said, “That God forgive my sins.” The Prophet said: *{Didn’t you know that converting to Islam erases all previous sins?}*Now that you have entered the fold of Islam, it's recommended for you to take a bath (ghusl), washing your entire body with water. 🚿🚿🚿

Just as you have cleansed your soul of such things as associating partners with Allah in worship (shirk) and committing sins, you are recommended to cleanse your body by taking a bath.
When one of the Arab notables embraced Islam, the Prophet ﷺ directed him to take a bath. The first thing to know about this religion is its characteristics, Islam is the perfect religion, and soon enough you’ll know that it’s the only religion.Islam means to achieve peace🌱 – peace with God, peace within oneself, and peace with the creations of God – through wholly submitting oneself to God and accepting His guidance.

Islam, being a word derived from ‘silm’ meaning also salvation and peace as well as submission, is the expression of God’s grace flowing in the arteries of the universe. 🌏

Islam being the Divine system to which all the creation except man has willingly submitted itself, there is no disorder observed throughout the universe.

Islam is the firm, unbreakable rope stretched from Heaven, to which all creatures hold fast and, by means of which, man will be able to ascend Paradise, from where he came down to earth.

Islam is a link which connects all creatures into a single unity💪 , and this explains why it is the religion of universal brotherhood and solidarity.Islam is a universal religion in that its *Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was sent to all peoples of the world, regardless of their race, colour, culture, traditions and geographical location*, as the Qur’an states, “ And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” (Quran, 21:107)That is why Islam respects all the various human traditions🤲 and does not require new Muslims to change their own traditions unless they  *contravene some of the Islamic teachings* . Thus, any traditions that go against Islamic teachings must be changed and replaced with a 💪better alternative, for it is after all Allah, the All-Knowing, the All-Aware, who commands and forbids whatever He wills, and our faith in Him requires us to act in accordance with His laws. ❤️So there is nothing in Islam which is of benefit only to the people of a particular region or age.

The Holy Quran enjoins nothing which is not of uniformly inspiring, edifying and practicable for peoples of all nations and times . The religious and moral teachings of Islam are of a universal nature. This universality is what make us brothers inspite of the massive distance between us 🌍

Islam is a religion which balances the worldly life and the life to come .

According to Islam, the worldly life is like a farm🌿 in which a Muslim sows the seeds 🌱of good deeds😍 in all aspects of life in order to reap💪 the rewards of his hard work both in this life and the hereafter

Let's make things more clear🔎

In order to live Islam trully as Allah ordered muslims to do you'll need an optimistic attitude🤩, dedication💪, seriousness🕵🏾 and determination😎

If you read Quran you'll simply understand that Allah ordered us to live a good life
I'll prove it by some examples 👇👇

*Developing the Earth*

The Qur’an says, “He brought you into being from the earth and made you its inhabitants.” (Soorat Hood, 11:61)

Allah ﷻ created us and placed us on this earth, commanding us to develop it and establish a civilization to benefit humanity in a way that does not contradict Islamic teachings.

Indeed, He considers doing so an act of worship for which its doer will be rewarded , 🛑even if it is done in times of great turmoil and under terrifying circumstances, such as the Day of Judgement.

The prophet ﷺ once said, “If the Day of Judgement takes place [and you recognize the Event], while a man is holding a palm-tree seedling [to plant in the soil], let him, if he can, plant it.” (Musnad Ahmad: 2712)

More examples please 🤩👇👇
Maintaining Social Relationships

Islam calls its adherents to cooperate🤝 with people around them, regardless of their culture and religion , in order to establish a civilization 💪and build a healthy society👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

It urges them to associate with them 🤝and build relationships of the highest order💪, governed by the sublime moral standards Islam teaches 🌸🌸.

It also warns them🙅🏾‍♂ against isolation 🙇‍♂and withdrawal from society🏚, and Islam considers this a course to go against the right method naturally adopted by those dedicated to preaching Islam and calling to its sublime principles.

I'll tellyou a story to prove this 🤓, the prophet ﷺ once observed that a believer who mixes with people and endures their harm is far better than one who does not associate with them altogether.

Check out the best , NOW 😍😍👇👇👇👇
Knowledge Acquisition

Oh boy I love this part 😍

It was not a coincidence that the first word revealed to the prophet ﷺ was ‘Read’ YESSSS , this was the first thing to be said by Allah to His beloved prophet Muhammad .

In fact, Islam stresses the importance of acquiring beneficial knowledge📖📖 in all fields of human interest and considers the path that a Muslim follows to seek knowledge a path that actually leads to Paradise 🌸🌸, Allah ! How merciful are you!! .

👉As the prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever treads a path in search of knowledge, Allah will ease the way to Paradise for him.” (Saheeh Ibn Hibbaan: 84)

Islam even honours those who teach people👨🏾‍🏫 and impart knowledge to them💡, holding them in high esteem and promising them abundant rewards.🌱🌱

The prophet ﷺ informs us in one of his traditions😍😍 that all Allah’s creation prays for those who impart beneficial knowledge to people.

My dear brother , Islam is the perfect religion , because there's no other religion 🤲 It's been monotheism all the time

Now that we’ve talked a little about Islam, we’ll start talking about the islamic faith. This includes mainly 6 things , our belief in :
👉 Allah
👉His messengers
👉His revelations
👉His angels
👉The day of judgment
👉The divine decree

THE MEANING OF BELIEF IN ALLAH

This means firm belief that:
▪️Allah ﷻ exists
▪️His Lordship
▪️His Godship
▪️His Names and Attributes.

We will now discuss these four issues at length as follows:

Number 1️⃣ 👇🏼
🔵The belief that Allah exists🔵
Affirming the existence of Allah is something that is
👉innate👈
in human beings and does not require anything to prove it.

Indeed, it is for this reason that most people acknowledge God’s existence despite their different religious beliefs. We know in our hearts that Allah exists because we always seek His assistance and support in times of hardship.❤️

Man himself is one of the major signs which testify to Allah’s existence.

Man’s quest to know about his origin has led him to search for his roots🌱 and the best source for him has been religious scriptures.

The greatest miracle is the Holy Quran. There is an elegant description of origin, development and step by step developmental stages of intrauterine life in Quran.

💡 Muslims had this knowledge in 7th century and the Prophet Muhammad’s sayings had explained almost everything about natal and even postnatal events.

These findings once presented to experts in the field of Anatomy and Embryology surprised them💡 and they believed that the knowledge given to the Prophet Muhammad was
👉indeed divine👈

Who else would provide this knowledge to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) except the Creator Himself. 💡💡

🌱Modern embryology is a fairly recent development which has its beginning with the invention of the microscope🔬 in the 17th century.

However the concept of the human being developing in stages was not recognised until much later.

But the scientists then and most Muslim and non-Muslim scholars do not even know that the holy Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had provided a detailed description of the significant events in human development💡💡 from the stages of gametes and conception until the full term pregnancy and delivery or even post partum.

Actually information in the Quran and prophet's narrations corrected many superstitious and vague ideas about human development that were prevalent before. 💡

As the Qur’an states, “And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] . And in yourselves. Then will you not see? ” (Quran, 51:20-21)

Number 2️⃣👇🏼
🔵The belief in Allah's Lordship🔵

What does it mean when we say that Allah is The Lord ⁉️

👉This simply means that Allah is one in His actions , no one does the actions He almighty does.

Belief in Allah’s Lordship therefore requires a Muslim to believe that:
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

⚫️ Allah is the only creator of everything in the universe

as the Qur’an states, “Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs. ” (Quran, 39:62)

He is the only One who provides sustenance to His creation and no one else can do so

as the Qur’an states, “ And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register. ” (Quran, 11:6)

He is the master and owner of everything

“ To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things competent.” (Quran 5:120)

He is the sole ruler who regulates all affairs of the universe

“He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.” (Quran, 32:5)

“Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds. ” (Quran, 7:54)

When the prophet ﷺ was asked about the greatest sin in the sight of Allah, he replied, “To set up a rival to Allah in worship though He alone created you.” 🤲

Number 3️⃣👇🏼
🔵The belief in Allah's Godship🔵

👉Allah's Godship means that only Him is worthy of worship.

Believing that Allah is the only One worthy of worship and directing all acts of worship to Him alone is the result of our belief that He alone is the Lord of this universe and that He has power over everything; and that He has no partner whatsoever in doing all this.

What Does this Mean
This means firm belief that Allah is the only true god who deserves to be worshipped.

This entails that all the apparent and hidden acts of worship, such as invocation, fear, reliance, the prayer, the obligatory charity (zakaat), fasting and seeking assistance, must be directed to Him alone.🤲

All the good acts that are done with good intentions (the intention of getting closer to Allah) - are considered acts of worship for which man will be rewarded.

Therefore, the concept of worship in Islam is not confined to the common rituals, such as the prayer and fasting; rather, it includes all beneficial acts that are done with good intentions. In this way, all the good acts a Muslim does are considered acts of worship for which he will be rewarded in the hereafter.

Let's stop here for a moment to ponder on that ⭐️

Did you notice this ?
Remember when we talked about Islam being a religion of life ?

This is the essence of Islam becoming vivid step by step , Allah has promised the believers that every good act they do with the intension of getting closer to Him and pleasing Him , He promised them the reward for that ❤️⭐️

A Muslim, therefore, lives all his life for Allah💪💪💪.

His eating to get strength to obey Allah, his marriage to keep away from unlawful sexual acts, seeking knowledge, getting a university degree, making discoveries, and a woman’s care for her husband, children and home are all acts of worship as long as they are coupled with a good intention.

As the Quran states:

“And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful"
(Quran, 2:163)

which means that He alone deserves to be worshipped and that no one else must be worshipped besides or instead of Him.

Allah says, “And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." ” (Quran, 40:60)

“And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers.” (Quran, 5:23) 🌱

Now , Our need to know that Allah is worthy of worship os so important . 💯💯

Why⁉️

Because Worshipping Allah is the ultimate purpose of human and jinn existence, as the Qur’an states,

“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” (Quran, 51:56)

Allah ﷻ informs us in this verse that the reason behind creating the jinn and mankind is to worship Him 🤲

In fact, He is not in need of their worship; rather, 👉it is they who need to worship Him because of their total dependence upon Him.

That's why Allah sent messengers and revealed divine books to affirm that He is the only God worthy of worship and to reject false deities worshipped besides or along with Him, as the Qur’an states

“And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid False objects of worship’” (Quran, 16:36)

That's why Worshipping Allah is the first duty of man towards his creator. ❤️

When the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him sent one of his companions to tell people about Islam he told him : " you are going to a people from among the people of the book . Let the first thing you call them to is that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah".

That is , let them direct all acts of worship to him alone

All thanks to Allah for giving us the Light of Faith by giving us knowledge of Him . All thanks to Allah for giving us the knowledge that He Alone is The Lord and He alone is worthy of worship.

And since the true Muslim💪 is always vigilant and keen on abiding and steadfasting on Allah's religion, 👉 we ought to have some knowledge of the things that may corrupt one's belief in Allah. 💔

Associating Partners with Allah in Worship is something that is known as "Shirk" in arabic

"Shirk" contradicts the belief that Allah alone is worthy of worship💔.

Shirk is considered to be the greatest sin in the sight of Allah and is the only sin which He never forgives without sincere repentance.

The Qur’an says, “ Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.” (Quran , 4:48)

Indeed, shirk renders acts of worship
👉invalid and worthless👈

as the Qur’an states, “But if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.” (Quran , 6:88)

This means ascribing to someone other than Allaah something that belongs only to Allah, such as Lordship, divinity and the divine names and attributes .

shirk may sometimes be outward, such as the shirk of those who worship idols and graves, or the dead or absent.

👉Or it may sometimes be hidden, such as those who put their trust in other gods besides Allaah.

We will discuss together some of its forms in order to avoid all forms of disbelief and purify our hearts of All evil

Shirk may sometimes take the form of words:

👉 Such as those who make du’aa’ or pray to someone other than Allah, or seek his help or seek refuge with him with regard to matters over which no one has control except Allah, whether the person called upon is a Prophet, an angel or a jinn, or some other created being.

This is a kind of major shirk which puts one beyond the pale of Islam. 💔💔💔

👉 Or such as those who make fun of religion💔 or who liken Allah to His creation, or say that there is another creator, provider or controller besides Allaah.

All of these are MAJOR shirk and a grave sin that is not forgiven if a person dies on that state of disbelief

Shirk may sometimes take the form of beliefs:

👉 Such as the belief that there is someone else who creates, gives life and death, reigns or controls the affairs of the universe along with Allah.

👉 Or the belief that there is someone else who must be obeyed absolutely besides Allaah, so they follow him in regarding as permissible or forbidden whatever he wants, even if that goes against the religion of the Messengers.

👉 Or they may associate others with Allaah in love ❤️and veneration, by loving a created being as they love Allah.

This is the kind of shirk that Allaah does not forgive, and it is the shirk which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah. ” [Quran, 2:165]

👉 Or the belief that there are those who know the Unseen as well as Allah.

👉 It is also shirk to believe that there is someone who bestows mercy in a manner that is befitting only for Allaah, so he shows mercy as Allaah does and forgives sins and overlooks the bad deeds of his worshippers.

Shirk may sometimes take the form of actions:

👉 Such as one who sacrifices, prays or prostrates to something other than Allaah, and other acts that go against the basic meaning of faith and put the one who does them beyond the pale of Islam.

We ask Allaah to keep us safe and sound

Allah has many names and attributes , among them is the name called “Al-Waahid” which means The One and Only.

He is unique and there is no one like Him in His Being, just as He’s unique in His attributes, actions and Lordship. He’s the Only One who deserves to be worshipped.

🌸If you read the Quran at the chapter number 112, you’ll find Allah telling us : “ Say, ( He is Allah, the One and Only)”

By the name of Allah we continue our lessons in Belief in Allah.

We said that this includes 4 issues , All thanks to Allah we completed 3 of them

▪️Existence of Allah
▪️Lordship of Allah
▪️Godship of Allah

TODAY WE'LL START LEARNING THE NAMES AND ATTRIBUTES OF ALLAH ❤️❤️❤️

This part is so beautiful cause it will get you closer to Allah by giving you a tiny glimpse of His greatness and mercy, Let's begin

We believe in the names and attributes which Allah has affirmed for Himself or His Messenger PBUH has affirmed for Him in a manner that suits His majesty.

Allah ﷻ has the most beautiful names and perfect attributes. All His names and attributes are unique, as the Qur’an states, “There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” ( Quran , 42:11) Therefore, none of whatever He has created has similar names or attributes in any way.

Some of Allah’s Most Beautiful Names:

👉“The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.” ( Quran, 1:3)

👉“He is the Hearing, the Seeing" (Quran, 42:11)

👉“And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” (Quran, 31:9)

👉“Allah –there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence.” (Quran, 2:255)

👉“[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds.” (Quran , 1:2)

As for Allah's Attributes , they are way more that His names , We'll discuss some of them today by Allah'a help

1. Rewards

Allah (the Exalted) rewards 🤲those who do good deeds with victory and blessings in this life and with paradise in the Hereafter.

Allah mentions regarding paradise❤️: {Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally.} (Qur’an 43:71)

This is the great reward of those who fear their Lord and worship Him to the best of their ability. Allah (the Exalted) rewards the righteous for their good deeds; one good deed by a Muslim is rewarded for ten or up to seven hundred, as much as Allah wills.

2. Saves, Rescues

Allah said in Quran: {Say: It is Allah who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him.} (Qur’an 6:64)

People often turn to Allah at times when their life is threatened, but at other times, they disbelieve💔; however, Allah (the Exalted) should be invoked and worshipped always,in all circumstances, good and bad.🤲

3. Does not Burden Us beyond Our Capacity

Allah’s kindness and compassion are demonstrated through this attribute❤️.

He does not expect a soul to perform beyond its capability. He is generous and kind towards His creation, not burdening anyone with excessive trials outside of their scope.

 4. Does what he wills

Allah (the Exalted) decides what He wills concerning His creation, and He does what He wills.

None can decide for Him, and none can overcome His will. All that exists and all that occurs are a result of Allah’s will and plan.

Sometimes believers should relax and accept situations in their lives over which they have no control, because ultimately Allah (the Exalted) will do what He wills and make occur what He wills. Allah knows best about our situations❤️, so accepting what He wills can bring peace to the heart

 5. Sends down Tranquility

🤲Believers supplicate to Allah to send down His tranquility on them when they are distressed or during trials💔.

They seek calmness and peace in their hearts and are reassured with the knowledge that Allah (the Exalted) is able to bring peace and tranquility to them. This knowledge alone is enough to make their hearts soften and relax
