The Muslim must reject  the notion that Allaah has a son, because that implies need and that there is a being who is like unto Him, and these are matters which Allaah is far above.

Allah describes himself in Quran :

He is Allah, the One!

 The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks

"He begets not, nor was He begotten;
(He is not born and doesnt give birth)

And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."

{Quran:112}

And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son."

You have done an atrocious thing.

The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation

That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.

And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.

There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant.

He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting.

And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone.

Quran 19:(88-95)

They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allah at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.
(5:17)

They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.
(5:72)

“And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allaah,
 and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allaah. 
That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. 
Allaah’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!”

[al-Tawbah 9:30]

?? Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him said ??

Whoever bears witness that there is no god except Allaah alone, with no partner or associate, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger and that ‘Eesa is His slave and Messenger, and His Word which He bestowed upon Maryam and a spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is real and Hell is real, Allaah will admit him to Paradise (and grant him a position therein) according to his deeds.”

(al-Bukhaari, 3435; Muslim, 28).

From Quran  من القرآن

??"…The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of God, and His word (command) which He conveyed unto Mary..." (Quran 4:171) 

??Quran 3:49 
" And [make him, Jesus] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers." 
 
(Qur'an 3:51) Surely, Allah is my Lord and your Lord; so serve Him alone. This is the straight way.'

?? The word ‘MESSENGER’ according to Oxford dictionary is a person who carries a message.

??There is no language where God and prophet are synonymous term. God cannot be prophet. We read in the same Bible Jesus was referred to as a prophet:

??Matthew 21:11 
"And the crowds were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee."

"Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, "God has visited His people!"

"The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 
 
??Matthew 21:46 
" When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet. 
 
??John 6:14 
" Therefore when the people saw the sign which he had performed, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world."

"Some of the people therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, "This certainly is the Prophet."

Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who #SENT me.” (John 7:16) 
 
???? “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that #SENT me, and to finish his work.” (John 4:34) 
 
????  “Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he #SENT me” (john 8:42) 
 
????. “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath #SENT me.” (John 5:30) 
 
 ????“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which #SENT me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.” ( John 12:49) 

??From the above references if Jesus is God he wouldn’t have been sent by another God but he would just come by himself. But these prove him he was just a messenger like any other messenger that God sent before him, e g, Moses, Jacob, Abraham, etc.

"When did Jesus embrace Islam?"

Islam means submission and surrender to the Will of Allah the Almighty , Exalted be His Name.

It is bearing witness that there is no God but Allah and believing in His Messengers.

All Prophets have this in common; they call for the Oneness (Monotheism) of Allah (God) and submission to the Will of Allah.

Every one who submits his will to Almighty God is a Muslim and all prophets including Jesus were the perfect examples of submitting themselves to the will of Allah .

Jesus Christ neither named his religion after himself, Christianity, nor his followers as Christians.  
The word 'Christianity' is derived from the Christ . He himself never uttered it.  

The label 'Judaism' ,as well,  came 8 after the division of the Israelite kingdom into Judea and  Samaria.

Jesus  says:
"Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

And the first commandment of Jesus .

Jesus said :

“If you love me, keep my commandments." John 14: 15

So, what are these commandments?
Jesus replied, 
"The most important one is this: 'Listen, O Israel! The LORD our God is the one and only LORD." Mark 12: 29

 "and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’"Mar 12:30

"Right, Teacher, the scribe replied.“You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him" 
Mark 12: 32.

This is the speech of Jesus  himself.
Jesus called for absolute Oneness

"The LORD our God is the one and only LORD." (Mark 12: 29)
