Between Christianity and Islam
🏵The Prayer(Salah) in Islam :🏵
The Prayer(Salah) in Islam is an obligatory duty that Almighty Allah ordered all Prophets to do it in almost the same way . All the five prayers during the day and the night should include bowing and prostrating (Ruku' and Sujdd)
As the Almighty Allah says :
(43. O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]." ) 3:43
As also the Almighty Allah says :
(58. And [recall] when We said, "Enter this city [i.e., Jerusalem] and eat from it wherever you will in [ease and] abundance, and enter the gate bowing humbly24 and say, 'Relieve us of our burdens [i.e., sins].' We will [then] forgive your sins for you, and We will increase the doers of good [in goodness and reward].") 2:58
And also Allah ,the Most Kind says : (77. O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good – that you may succeed.) 22:77
As He says also :
(37. And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostrate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship. )41:37
And in another verse(Aya),Allah says :
(62. So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].)
53:62
In another verse(Aya) :
(29. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark [i.e., sign] is on their faces [i.e.,foreheads] from the trace of prostration. ) 48:
So the rituals of Prayers of bowing and prostrating have been ordered for all of humans since Adam to Muhammad (Peace be upon them all).Muslims don't bow or prostrate except to Almighty Allah and it's not permissible to embellish the mosques in order to have too much focus in the prayers. For Muslims,it is not permissible to bow to pictures(like Statues) not to bow to the Prophet Muhammad himself (PBUH) who is the most favoured among all Prophets all humans. Islam forbids to bow or prostrate to anyone except to Allah since bowing or prostrating to other than Allah is considered a big son which won't be forgiven by God's stated in the Holy Quran.
And the evidence of sanctity of bowing to other than Allah and even to the grave of Prophet Muhammad is what
Qays ibn Sa'd narrated of the Prophet himself
"I went to Al-Hirah and saw them (the people) prostrating themselves before a satrap of them, so I said(to my self): The Messenger of Alla(Peace be upon him) is more entitled to be bowed to him. Thus, when I came to the Prophet(Pbuh), I said: I went to Al-Hirah and saw them prostrating themselves before a satrap of them, and you are more entitled than him,. The Messenger of God said: Tell me , if you were to pass my grave, would you bow to it? I said: No. He then said: Do not do so.
It was also narrated that:
Abdullah bin Abu Awfa said “When Muadh bin Jabal came
from Sham, he prostrated to the Prophet. The Prophet(Plus) said: 'What is this, O Muadh?' He said: 'I went to Sham and saw them prostrating to their bishops and patricians and I wanted to do that for you.' The messenger of Allah said: 'Do not do that.(Sunan Ibn Majah). And It is forbidden to Pray without Wudu (ablution:washing some articles of the body before performing Prayer) because the basis of Prayer (Salah) is Wudu and the cleanness of the body and clothes so Muslims shouldn't pray without Wudu .Our religion is a religion of cleanness and purity of the body and the heart .
🏵Prayer in Christianity🏵
Prayer in Christianity is not divine rather than a human_made. And all the Prayers which preformed in the Churches are invented such as {Euchologion or Euchology - the holy Psalmody - the holy agpeya - Seneksar- Orchard monks }all these prayers were not divine but human_made. Some of them contains blasphemous . And they're full of fantasy , old fables , and unreal novels close to paganism.
They aren't surely identical to Jesus's prayer.
Wudu and cleanness of the body and clothes and heart
purity are
not preconditions for Prayer in Christianity. One may wonder: My dear Christian, if you went to an important meeting or an interview with an important person or if it is your wedding day ,would you attend with dirty body and clothes?Of course ,no. However,if the answer is :yes, then there's a word with which unclean persons are described but I can't say it.And your Book mentioned that:
"He set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing"Exodus 40:30
The direction of Jesus's Prayer was toward Jerusalem. But nowadays Christians pray to the direction of the east since they believe that the east is the place of light as in paganism religions. Christians show the Cross on their body before starting their prayers.
( by the tracing of an upright cross or + across the body with the right hand, often accompanied by spoken or mental recitation of the trinitarian formula .) I challenge any Christian to prove that Jesus did that or he said that in Bible. Christians also prostrate to the image of Jesus or the cross or the Virgin Mary . Why do they prostrate to human beings or a non living thing like the cross ? I don't know why!! Praise be to Allah for the blessings of the brain .
The worst part of the Christians' prayer is that it is a mixture of hymns and songs Which were written by very ordinary persons. These prayers are preforming on the tune of piano or any musical instruments . I want to know if these musical instruments were there in Jesus's days and that they were approved by him . Sometimes the prayers contain dancing and singing. Are these prayers with dancing and singing fit the Greatness of God ?
🌸ISLAMIC PRAYERS / ACTS OF WORSHIP / DEVOTION🌸
Muslims pray and worship God in a way similar to that of earlier prophets of God.
We find the glimpses of this fact in the Bible as follows:
i) Bowing and prostrating on the ground:
• Jesus (pbuh):
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed.(Matthew 26:39)
•Moses (pbuh):
And Moses bowed to the ground and worshiped.(Exodus 34:8)
•Moses and Aaron (pbut):
Then Moses and Aaron went away from the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces... (Numbers 20:6)
• Abraham (pbuh):
Then Abram fell on his face.(Genesis 17:3)
• Abraham’s servant:
When Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the ground before the Lord.(Genesis 24:52)
•Joshua (pbuh):
And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped.(Joshua 5:14)
• Ezra and the people:
Then they bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.(Nehemiah 8:6)
