Islam is not a religion based on blind faith. It calls us to think, reflect, question, and examine the evidence.

The word Islam comes from the Arabic root related to peace and submission. It means submitting our will to the will of the One true God—and through that submission, finding true peace. This was the message of all the prophets from the beginning of humanity: worship God alone and submit to Him.

From Adam, Nuh (Noah), Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), and Isa (Jesus), to the final Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the prophets came with the same fundamental message: there is only one God worthy of worship.

The Miracles of the Prophets

Throughout history, God gave His messengers miracles as signs that they were truly sent by Him. For example, Musa (Moses) was given the miracle of the parting of the sea, and Isa (Jesus) was given miraculous signs, including his miraculous birth.

We did not personally witness those miracles. We believe them because they were transmitted to us through revelation and trustworthy reports.

But what about us today?

What miracle can we examine for ourselves?

Muslims believe that the greatest continuing miracle given to the final Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the Quran itself.

Unlike a miracle that happens once and is then gone, the Quran is still with us today. We can read it, study it, analyze its language, examine its preservation, and reflect on its message.

And this is why Islam does not ask us to simply believe without evidence.

Why Is the Quran a Miracle?

The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ approximately 1,400 years ago.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was unlettered didnt know how to read or write…!! Most importantly, He never claimed that he personally authored the Quran.

Instead, he consistently claimed that it was revelation from God.

So we have a fundamental question: Where did this book come from?

The Quran itself gives us a challenge: “Do they not reflect upon the Quran? Had it been from someone other than God, they would have found in it many contradictions.”

(Quran 4:82)   In other words, examine it. Think about it. Look for contradictions.

1. Preservation of the Quran

The Quran also makes a remarkable promise:

“Indeed, We have sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will preserve it.”(Quran 15:9)

 

The Quran till today remains preserved and has been transmitted through both written manuscripts and an enormous oral tradition. Millions of Muslims throughout history and even today, including young children who do not speak Arabic, memorize the entire Quran word for word.

There are also very early Quranic manuscripts that survive today, some dating to the earliest centuries of Islam. The remarkable question is:

How has a text revealed more than 1,400 years ago remained so consistently transmitted across generations and across the Muslim world?

2. Scientific Miracles  in the Quran

The Quran also contains verses that Muslims see as remarkably consistent with discoveries about the natural world.

Examples frequently discussed include:

• The expansion of the universe; For example, Allah says: “And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are its expander.” (Quran 51:47)



• The development of the human embryo; The Quran describes human development in stages: “Then We developed the drop into a clinging clot, then developed the clot into a lump, then developed the lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh..Quran 23:12–14

 

• Mountains and their geological characteristics; Allah says:



• “Have We not made the earth a resting place, and the mountains as pegs?”
  
  
  Quran 78:6–7 And:“He placed firm mountains upon the earth so it does not shake with you.” Quran 16:15



• The water cycle and that every living thing is from water Allah says:“We made every living thing from water.”Quran 21:30



• The barrier between bodies of water, God says:“He released the two bodies of fresh and salt water, meeting together, with a barrier between them. Quran 25:53



• The origins and development of the universe( The Big Bang) “Don’t  the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and the earth were once one mass then We split them apart?” Quran 21:30

Their 100th of these scientific signs in the Quran none of them is and error, most of them they were discovered recently…!!!

But the question remains:

How did a man living in seventh-century Arabia produce a book containing statements about the natural world that continue to provoke scientific and intellectual discussion centuries later?

Muslims see these signs as evidence pointing toward divine authorship.

3. Historical Miracles In the Quran

• The Romans — Quran 30:2–4 The Quran foretold that after a major defeat, the Romans would regain victory within three to nine years—a prediction made before it occurred.



• Pharaoh's Body will be preserved — Quran 10:90–92 After Pharaoh drowned while pursuing Moses, Allah said: n“Today We will preserve your body as a sign for those after you.” The Quran presents Pharaoh's preserved body as a sign for future generations.



• Abu Lahab The prophet uncle — Quran 111:1–5 The Quran condemned Abu Lahab while he was still alive. Despite having years to challenge the claim, he never accepted Islam and died opposing it.



• Pharaoh's Title — Quran 12:43; 20:24
  
  
  The Quran calls the ruler in Joseph's time “the king,” while calling Moses' ruler “Pharaoh.” This distinction is consistent with the historical development of the title “Pharaoh.” which was an error in the bible

 

4. The Linguistic Miracle

The Quran was revealed in Arabic at a time when Arabic poetry and eloquence were highly developed. Yet the Quran's style was unique. It was neither ordinary prose nor conventional poetry. The Quran challenged its opponents to produce something comparable:

“Then produce a surah like it.” (Quran 2:23)

Despite this challenge, the Quran became a unique literary phenomenon in the Arabic language.

Its rhythm, structure, word choice, rhetorical power, and depth of meaning have had an extraordinary influence on the Arabic language and literature.

5. The Quran's Effect on the Human Heart

There is also something many people experience personally when listening to the Quran.

People who do not understand Arabic can sometimes be deeply moved by its recitation.

Some experience tranquility. Some become emotional. Some cry.

Allah says: “Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort.” (Quran 13:28)

Of course, an emotional experience by itself is not a mathematical proof of divine revelation.

But when combined with the Quran's preservation, message, language, historical claims, internal consistency, and other evidence, it becomes part of the broader case for its divine origin.

6. The Quran Is a Complete Way of Life

The Quran is not merely a book of information. It's a complete guidance and a way of life from God

It teaches us who created us, why we are here, how we should live, and where we are ultimately going when we die…!!

It provides guidance for living a righteous and meaningful life in this world while preparing for the eternal life to come.

7. The Quran Confirms the Original Message of Previous Prophets

Islam does not teach that Muhammad ﷺ brought a completely new religion.

Rather, Islam teaches that the same fundamental message was brought by all the prophets:

Worship God alone.

The Quran confirms the original revelations given to prophets such as Musa given the Torah and (Jesus) given the Injeel(the Gospel), while also teaching that previous scriptures were not preserved in their original form in the same way the Quran has been preserved because they were meant specifically to be for those people at that time.

The message is ultimately one: Do not worship creation. Worship the Creator.

Do not worship the sun, the moon, humans, statues, prophets, money, power, or anything else created.

Worship the One who created everything.

So Who Could Have Produced the Quran?

At this point, we can consider the possibilities.

Was Muhammad ﷺ lying?

Was he genuinely mistaken?

Did he copy it from other sources?

Or is the Quran what he claimed it was:

revelation from the Creator of the universe?

When we consider the Quran as a whole—its message, preservation, linguistic characteristics, historical content, consistency, impact, and the circumstances surrounding its revelation—the Islamic explanation becomes extraordinarily powerful.

Islam therefore does not ask you to shut off your mind.

It asks you to use it.

The Quran repeatedly asks humanity to think, reflect, observe, and reason.

And ultimately, the Quran presents a simple message:

You have a Creator. You were created for a purpose. Worship Him alone. Live according to His guidance. And return to Him.

That is the message of Islam.

And that is the message brought by the prophets from Adam to Muhammad ﷺ.
