Jesus Called to Islam Not to Christianity
When we remove the dust of centuries and read Jesus's words as they are in the Gospels, away from church interpretations, we discover an amazing truth : Jesus did not come with a new religion called
" Christianity ." Rather, he came to renew the call of all the prophets before him—the call to surrender to the One God, which is Islam.
Jesus said clearly :
" And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent ." ( John 17 : 3 )
With these words, he ended all debate : God is one, worship is for Him alone, and Jesus is merely a messenger from Him. Jesus did not call people to worship him, nor did he say he was the Son of God in the sense promoted by churches. Rather, he would kneel to God, prostrate to God, and call people to obey God.
The Islam that Muhammad ﷺ brought after him was not a new religion, but rather a continuation of the message of Jesus, Moses, and Abraham—they all called to one religion, which is Islam, the religion of submission to God, not to rabbis and monks, nor to inherited human doctrines.
The truth that the Church tried to obscure is that Jesus was not a Christian; he was a Muslim in the meaning of the word : a servant of God, submitted to His command, pure in monotheism.
1. All the prophets came with one religion : Islam.
Since Adam (peace be upon him), the religion has been one : worshiping God alone without partner. Noah called his people to monotheism, Abraham smashed the idols, Moses came with the Ten Commandments. And so it was with Jesus: he did not come with a new religion, but renewed the same call :
" You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve ."
( Matthew 4 : 10 ).
Therefore, the religion Jesus left is Islam: pure monotheism for God, and acting upon His commandments.
2. What did Jesus do ?
Jesus would enter the synagogues to remind people to worship God, and he drove out the merchants from the house of prayer, saying :
" My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves ."
( Matthew 21 : 13 ).
The Messiah never said : " Believe in my crucifixion so that your sins may be forgiven ." Nor is there a single text in the four Gospels that says Jesus came to be crucified as a ransom for humanity.
3. The Jewish Conspiracy Against the Christ
The Gospels clearly reveal that the Jews were behind the conspiracy :
· Bribing Judas : " What will you give me if I deliver him to you? And they paid him thirty pieces of silver ."
(Matthew 26:14-16).
· Inciting the people : " Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus." ( Matthew 27 : 20 ).
· Pressuring Pilate : " They all said, 'Let him be crucified! Let him be crucified !'" ( Matthew 27 : 22 - 23 ).
Therefore, the Jews did not accept Jesus as a prophet of God; rather, they betrayed him, conspired against him, bribed one of his disciples to hand him over, and incited the people to crucify him.
4. The Problem with the Gospels Themselves
It is important to know that the four Gospels were not written during the time of Christ, nor in his language :
· They were written decades after the ascension of Christ ( approximately 40-70 years later ).
· They were written in Greek, while the language of Jesus and his people was Aramaic.
· They were written by anonymous individuals; we do not know their real names nor the names of their fathers, and what is attributed to them is merely church tradition.
Therefore, what we have in our hands are not the original words of Jesus, but narratives that were transmitted and translated long after, containing differences and contradictions.
5. The Entry of Paul and the Changing of the Religion
After the ascension of Christ, his disciples adhered to the call of monotheism. But then came Paul, who was not one of the disciples, and whom Christ did not name as his messenger. The truth is : there is no text in the four Gospels that says Christ sent Paul as his messenger.
Paul borrowed ideas from pagan religions known for gods who die and rise, and formulated from them the doctrine of the cross and redemption, which Jesus never said.
6 . The Difference Between the Religion of Jesus and the Religion of Paul
Jesus came with a pure, pristine religion, the religion of all the prophets : worshiping the one God without partner, and obedience and righteous deeds as the path to salvation.
Jesus never said to the people :
" Believe in my crucifixion to be saved," rather, he called them to worship God, uphold the commandments, and walk the path of piety.
His words were clear : " Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord ,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven " ( Matthew 7 : 21 ).
However, after the ascension of Christ, Paul appeared, introducing into the message of Jesus what Jesus never said. He made salvation dependent on faith in the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, not on obedience and deeds. He declared that the law was cursed on the cross .
( Galatians 3 : 13 ),
Thereby abolishing the law which all the prophets, and even Jesus himself, adhered to.
He took from pagan traditions the idea of
" the savior god who dies to atone for the sins of humankind ,"
and planted it at the heart of Christian doctrine.
Thus, the message of Jesus was inverted from a call to monotheism and righteous deeds to a doctrine alien to all the prophets.
Therefore, if Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus all called to the worship of God alone and acting upon His commands, it is natural that the true religion today is the one that corrected the course : the religion of Islam, which affirms that there is no salvation except through worshiping the one God and obeying Him.
7. The Religion of Jesus is Islam
The religion left by Jesus was not a religion named "Christianity," but rather it is the same religion of all the prophets: Islam. Islam, submission to God, is a religion based on pure monotheism, worshiping God alone, and obedience and righteous deeds.
However, after the ascension of Christ, Paul infiltrated and introduced foreign doctrines, making salvation linked to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, not to the worship and obedience of God. Thus, the pure message of Jesus was transformed into a mixture of pagan concepts.
But God does not let the truth be lost; He sent the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with the religion of Islam, to return humanity to what Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus called to: monotheism, worshiping God alone without partner, and salvation through righteous deeds.
So, whoever wishes to know the religion that Jesus truly left, let him look to Islam, for it is the natural and final continuation of the call of all the prophets.
God Almighty has said :
" 92 ) Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.
93) And [ yet ] they divided their affair [ i.e., that of their religion ] among themselves, [ but ] all to Us will return.
94) So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer—no denial will there be for his effort. And indeed We [i.e., Our angels], of it, are recorders. ."
(The Holy Quran 21 ': 92).
