Are You Sure of Your Salvation?

A question that shakes hearts before minds: Are you sure of your salvation?

Every human being seeking eternal tranquility and security asks:What is my fate after death? Will I be forgiven? Will I be saved? These questions are not answered by feeling or wishful thinking, but by the truthful divine revelation.

Christ Did Not Promise Salvation!

When we open the Gospels, we find that Christ, peace be upon him, never said: "I came to be crucified and atone for your sins." He did not say it with his tongue in any place. On the contrary, he always affirmed that:

· The path to salvation is obeying God:

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21).

· Salvation is linked to good deeds:

When a man asked him: "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus answered:

  "Keep the commandments" (Matthew 19:17).

· Forgiveness comes through repentance, not crucifixion:

"But unless you repent, you too will all perish" (Luke 13:3).

Therefore, Christ did not say: "Believe in my crucifixion and you will receive salvation," rather he said: "Keep the commandments" and "Repent."

Paul Is Not Among the Disciples of Christ

From the important historical facts is that Paul was not a disciple from among the twelve disciples of Christ who followed him during his life and heard his teachings directly.

· Paul never met Christ face to face.

· Christ did not choose him as a messenger for himself in any text from the Gospels.

· The four Gospels do not mention Paul's name at all, neither as an apostle nor even as a passing character.

· Everything we know about his alleged meeting with Christ on the road to Damascus stems from Paul's own narration, which no one witnessed, making it a claim without proof.

Therefore, there is not a single proof that Christ appointed Paul as his messenger; rather, everything is built on Paul's claims that appeared long after Christ's ascension.

Salvation in Pauline Christianity

The doctrine that Jesus was crucified to atone for the sins of humanity was not said by Jesus himself, but was brought by Paul long after Christ's ascension, where he wrote:

"And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins" (1 Corinthians 15:17).

Here we see that salvation in Paul's thought is based on the incident of the crucifixion and resurrection, not on the commandments of God nor on the works of man. And here begins the misguidance: people build their belief on the sayings of Paul, not on the true teaching of Christ.

Salvation in Islam: A Clear Path

Islam presented the clear answer that reassures the heart and convinces the mind:

Salvation does not need an intermediary, nor a cross, nor spilled blood; rather, it is between you and God:

· Faith in the One God without partner nor intermediary.

· Following His messengers whom He sent with the truth, and the last of them, Muhammad ﷺ.

· Sincere repentance that erases all sins no matter how great.

· Righteous deeds that bring you closer to God.

Allah the Almighty said:

"Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish prayer and give zakah will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve." (Al-Baqarah 2:277)

The Fundamental Difference

· Christianity (Pauline) says: Salvation is free through faith in the crucifixion, no matter what sins you commit.

· The true Christ said: Salvation is through faith in God, obedience, and keeping the commandments.

· Islam said: Salvation is through faith in God, obedience, keeping the commandments, and repentance.

So which is closer to reason and justice: that you are recompensed for your own deeds, or that someone else bears your sins?

God's Mercy and the Door of Repentance

The mercy of God is greater than can be counted; it is manifested in His gifts and blessings, and the greatest of them is His constant readiness to forgive the sins of the repentant, no matter how great their magnitude, provided that the servant returns to Him with a sincere heart and genuine repentance.

Since He created Adam and Eve, God opened for them the door of repentance after they slipped, to be an example for all humankind that the door of repentance does not close until the establishment of the Hour.

And it came in the Hadith from the Messenger of God ﷺ:

Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and place your hope in Me, I will forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you sought My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the Earth, and then you met Me without associating anything with Me, I would come to you with forgiveness nearly as great as it.

The True Path to Salvation

The truth is clear for whoever desires guidance:

Salvation is only achieved by faith in God,the One True God, following His prophets, and the last of them, Muhammad ﷺ, repentance, and righteous deeds.

That is the path which God approves, and the path which all the prophets walked upon, from Adam to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, prayers and peace be upon them all.

So ask yourself with sincerity: Is your salvation based on the true teaching of Christ, or on the doctrine of Paul?

Allah, glorified and exalted be He, calls you to His light and guidance, so answer the call, and believe in Him alone, and submit to His command, and you will succeed with a true salvation without illusion.
