The Truth God, Jesus, Pure Monotheism Noha Waseem
Have you ever felt that you have been thinking for too long to decide upon what is the path! Have you ever wondered if you were on the right track, wondered are you going to hell or heaven?
I remember there was a series named LOST and I guess I liked it back then, anyway that is not our issue now =D
Once upon a time I heard from a Christian girl that when she asked a nun, “Why should I confess to a middle person, can not I talk to the chairman directly? why there is someone in between me and GOD?” the nun didn’t answer her, nor did she has the answer. I was very touched by her question but suddenly another question came up rubbing my middle brain, why GOD is taking a son to be worshiped instead of him?
“Jesus is Jehovah’s most precious Son—and for good reason. He is called “the firstborn of all creation,” for he was God’s first creation. * (Colossians 1:15)
“only-begotten Son.” (John 3:16)
From a known website, I came up with this paragraph “The Son was created. Obviously, then, he had a beginning, whereas Jehovah God has no beginning or end. (Psalm 90:2) The only-begotten Son never even considered trying to be equal to his Father. The Bible clearly teaches that the Father is greater than the Son. (Read John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 11:3) Jehovah alone is “God Almighty.” (Genesis 17:1) Therefore, he has no equal. ”
So, clearly Jesus is different than GOD, they are not equal!
Who Shall we worship?
But then I saw this answer on gotquestion.com sourcing from a book How to Worship Jesus Christ: Experiencing His Manifest Presence
The apostle Paul called Jesus “our great God and Savior” (Titus 2:13) and points out that, prior to His incarnation, Jesus existed in the “form of God” (Philippians 2:5–8).
God the Father says regarding Jesus, “Your throne, O God will last forever and ever.” (Hebrews 1:8) The apostle John says that “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word [Jesus] was God.” (John 1:1)
Other passages identify Jesus as the Creator and Sustainer of the universe (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16–17; Hebrews 1:2). Jesus receives worship several times in the Gospels (Matthew 2:11; 28:9, 17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38; 20:28). Jesus is never said to reject such adoration. Rather, He accepts such worship as well placed. So, do some verses in the Bible portray Jesus as fully deity? We can say “yes.”
With that being said, Christians need to recognize that the Bible also teaches the deity of the Father (John 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2) as well as the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3–4; 1 Corinthians 3:16). And yet the scriptures teach that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4). How can this be?
The Christian church has historically taught that the Bible is clearly portraying God as one Being who exists in three Persons. This doctrine is known as the Trinity. Dr. James White, author of The Forgotten Trinity, has provided what we believe to be a helpful definition of the Trinity.
Here it is: “Within the one Being that is God, there exists eternally three coequal and co-eternal persons, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” We contend that this is the clear teaching of Scripture and should be affirmed by any biblically faithful Christian”.
These biblical distinctions go a long way in providing the proper balance in Christian worship. We must not overemphasize our adoration for any one Person in the Godhead at the expense of another.
The Bible teaches that, while the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit perform unique functions and have different roles, all three Persons of the Godhead are equal in power and majesty.
That got me even more confused, why shall I worship three incarnated persons instead of worshipping the One who created them, what if I loved Jesus more than the Father? or what if I couldn’t balance my heart between the three of them? then I’m lost!
I couldn’t believe that what they are doing was right; to worship the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that was too much exaggeration for me, I started wandering again, knowing I will reach, didn’t search again in Torah, knowing it is the old testament in Bible, I started rather in Qur’an
New journey-Qur’an
When I started reading Qur’an, I found that it is completely not accepted to claim that Allah has a begotten son, nor that Allah has incarnated in 3 persons and that was Clearly shown in the below verses from Qur’an
And your Allah is One Allah. There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.” (Surah Al-Baqara, 163)
It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is”. (Surah Maryam, 35)
I started thinking that Qur’an was sent after Torah and Bible, why didn’t Christians follow it? and it resembles the oneness of God and that worshiping Allah only is the direct way without dividing your heart and soul among three! Then why do they still worshiping Jesus?!
It also shows that Jesus is a Prophet, a wonderful human prophet who came to let people know Allah
[Jesus said], “And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”( Surah Maryam,36)
Now things are starting getting clear, why do I look in an old version when the newest is here? Bible is a holy book as well as Qur’an, however in the newly version of the holy books; Qur’an came. And in Qur’an it is stated that some verses of bible were written by man rather than GOD so that people would follow some other people’s interest, not for the sake of Jesus or GOD that was clearly in the below verse in Qur’an
“Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, “We hear and disobey” and “Hear but be not heard” and “Ra’ina,” twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], “We hear and obey” and “Wait for us [to understand],” it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.” (Surah An-Nisa,46)
So, At beginning I wondered and I just hated the idea of going to church and the confession things, then I thought, I used my mind to wander and search, I’ve broken the laws and the traditions of not being able to go deeper in Bible, Torah or Qur’an. But I went and I came up with results that suits the almighty GOD (Allah), that suits our great Jesus (the prophet), that suits my poor soul and mind (the human, the slave).
Oh, I almost forgot, remember that girl in the very first beginning, yes! She is a Muslim now =)
