  Esraa Mohammad

You feel fear; you feel you are alone, or you’re afraid of tomorrow, and what may happen?

Read these stories to know what you should do.

1- Abraham

Can you imagine that Abraham’s people gathered and prepared a great fire that would burn for days and days, tied Abraham with ropes, and tossed him into the fire?

Abraham stayed in the fire for days; everyone thought that Abraham’s call was over and that they were the winners.

But God Almighty was there and saved His faithful servant.

Allah said,

O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham.” [Qur’an 21:69] (1)

And they intended for him harm, but We made them the greatest losers.

And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds.” [Qur’an 21:71] (2)

2- Lot

Did you know that Lot kept advising his people against committing immorality but they did not accept his advice until there was nothing left but for God’s punishment to come on them?

Then God sent angels in the form of mortals to Lot to tell him that torment will be inflicted on his disbelieving people in the morning and that he has to leave this village at night, he and those who believe with him; God always saves His faithful servants.

And to Lot We gave judgement and knowledge, and We saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people of evil, defiantly disobedient. And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous.” [Qur’an 21: 74-75] (3)

3- Noah

Do you imagine that Noah kept calling his people to believe in God for nearly a thousand years but they disbelieved? Then, God ordered Noah to make the ship and his people mocked him.

Do you know that after a little time that scene completely changed and the flood flooded the ground and mountains? God saved Noah and his faithful companions, and those who disbelieved in God and mocked Noah were drowned and none of them remained on earth.

And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allah] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great affliction flood.  And We aided [i.e., saved] him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together.” [Quran 21-76:77] (4)

4- Yunus

Did you know that Yunus, after he despaired of his people’s faith, left them and boarded the sea?

But a whale waiting to swallow him, and Yunus stayed in the darkness of the night, the sea, and the belly of the whale for days and days.

The matter did not end there, as Yunus had great faith in his heart and was repeating, “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers,” until God rescued His faithful servant, and the whale threw him n the shore unscathed. He returned to his people and found them to have all believed in God.

And [mention] the man of the fish [i.e., Jonah], when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, ‘There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.’  So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.” [Qur’an 21:87-88] (5)

5- Moses

Can you imagine Moses moving with the children of Israel, running away from the oppression of Pharaoh and his people, as God had commanded him to do so, but he found the sea is in front of them and Pharaoh and his soldiers were pursuing them, and fear surrounded them from every side?

The children of Israel told him, “Indeed, we are to be overtaken!” However, Moses’ faith and confidence in God removed all fear; so, he said with all strength and trust in God, “No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me.”

The laws of the universe changed and God saved His servant Moses and the children of Israel, while Pharaoh and his soldiers perished in the sea in full view of all.

And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. Then We drowned the others.” [Qur’an  26:65-66] (6)

6- Jesus

Can you imagine that some of the Jews of his time wanted to kill and crucify Jesus, and all his disciples left him?

And He is calling God. “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” (7)

Can you imagine God giving up on his servant and Messenger, Jesus?

Of course not; because God responded to him and saved him from the Jews, from insult, crucifixion, and murder. God raised him to Himself, so they did not kill him, and did not crucify him, but another was made to resemble him to them.

And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.” [Qur’an  4:157-158] (8)

7- Joseph

Can you imagine that Joseph’s eleven brothers agreed to get rid of him and throw him into the bottom of the well and the little boy was unable to do anything and did not understand what they plotted for him?

They left him alone in the darkness of the well, but God did not leave him and saved him from the plot of his brothers and rescued him from the well to be raised in the palace of an Egyptian Minister, and he later became a minister in Egypt.

They said, “Are you indeed Joseph?” He said, “I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Allah has certainly favored us. Indeed, he who fears Allah and is patient, then indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good. They said, “By Allah, certainly has Allah preferred you over us, and indeed, we have been sinners.” [Qur’an 12: 90-91] (9)
