Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last and final prophet to be sent to mankind in a long chain of prophets that started from the time of Adam and included many others like Noah, Solomon, David, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and many more. All called for the worship of the one God.

The coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is a confirmation of the prophecy mentioned in previous scriptures, as Prophet Muhammad is a direct descended of Abraham through his son Ishmael. God fulfilled his promise to Abraham that from the descends of Ishmael will be a great nation. (Genesis 21:13). Jesus Also prophesied the coming of the comforter and helper who shall bear witness of him. (John 15:26)

His mission

In a land where people worshiped 360 idols, deprived women of their rights, enslaved people, killed one another for the simplest reasons.

To this inhumanity has come a man chosen by God, who brought them out of darkness into the light, called them to worship One God, and freed their minds from all types of ignorance and superstitions. Within several years he united the hearts of people to become the most powerful and civilized nation on earth.

His teachings

Muhammad (pbuh) taught that the best of people are those who are most beneficial to others, and the closest to him are those of the best manners. He taught that no one truly have faith until they love one another. He protected the rights of Muslims as well as non Muslims and protected rights of women. He organized the relationship between parents and their children.

He commanded to help the needy, give charity, even a smile is charity, visit the sick, take care of the old, stand for rights of all and speak the truth. He encouraged gaining knowledge as a duty on every Muslim man and woman. He called for justice and equality. All men are equal before God, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, and white has no superiority over a black, except by piety and good action.

His legacy

His legacy remain alive in the hearts of Millions of Muslims worldwide, as he informed Muslims that in their hands are two sources of guidance that whoever follow them will never go astray. The Quran and his sunnah

#I_love_Islam_but_fear_from_my_family_if_i_convert

One may ask, ‘I think Islam is a good religion, but if I were to convert to Islam, my family, friends, and other people would persecute me and make fun of me. So if I do not convert to Islam, will I enter Paradise and be saved from Hellfire?’

The answer is what God has said in the preceding verse, “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter.”

After having sent the Prophet Muhammad to call people to Islam, God does not accept adherence to any religion other than Islam. God is our Creator and Sustainer. He created for us whatever is in the earth. All the blessings and good things we have are from Him. So after all this, when someone rejects belief in God, His Prophet Muhammad , or His religion of Islam, it is just that he or she be punished in the Hereafter. Actually, the main purpose of our creation is to worship God alone and to obey Him, as God has said in the Holy Quran (51:56).

This life we live today is a very short life. The unbelievers on the Day of Judgment will think that the life they lived on earth was only a day or part of a day, as God has said:

He (God) will say, “How many years did you stay on the earth?” They will say: “We stayed a day or part of a day….” (Quran, 23:112-113)

And He has said:

Did you then think that We had created you in jest (without any purpose), and that you would not be returned to Us (in the Hereafter)? So, God is exalted, the True King. None has the right to be worshipped but Him… (Quran, 23:115-116)

The life in the Hereafter is a very real life. It is not only spiritual, but physical as well. We will live there with our souls and bodies.

In comparing this world with the Hereafter, the Prophet Muhammad said: {The value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like what your finger brings from the sea when you put it in and then take it out.}1 The meaning is that, the value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like a few drops of water compared to the sea.

Why did not Prophet #Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) #die for the #sins of Muslims? Is not he the #mercy to all?

👉 First, Islam, does not teach a concept of “#original_sin”. Adam’s sin was his and his alone; and, according to the Quran, God #forgave both #Adam and #Eve when they turned to God in repentance. Accordingly they were once again restored to divine mercy.

💫 Hence there is no concept of Adam passing on to his progeny an original sin, and therefore no need for stipulating a redeemer for such sins.

👉 Second, as there is no original sin, every one is born into a state of #fitrah, a state of natural innocence. We acquire sin later by our own conscious and willful actions. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Every child is born into a state of fitrah (or natural state of innocence).”

🍃 #It_is_Original_Mercy_Not_Sin

👉 Third, Islam teaches that God is All-Compassionate and All-Merciful; He is not bound by the rule of a #blood_sacrifice in order to forgive His servants.

🌹 {O My servants who have wronged against their souls! Do not despair of Allah’s mercy! For Allah forgives all sins; for He is indeed Forgiving, Compassionate.} (Az-Zumar: 53)

👉 Fourth, Islam teaches that every #individual is #responsible for his/her own #salvation. Not Abraham, or Moses, or Jesus, or Muhammad can save us; they are only capable of saving themselves through God’s grace. In the words of the Quran:

🌹{Whoever commits a sin commits it only against himself. Allah is Knowing, Wise.} (An-Nisa’: 111);

👉 Fifth, everyone, male or female, can directly approach God without any #intermediary of a prophet, saint or priest. God is closer to us than our own jugular veins. Almighty Allah says in the Quran:

🌹{We created man, and We know the promptings of his soul, and We are nearer to him than his own jugular vein.} (Qaf: 16)🌹
